Wetland Program Grants

Purpose of this program:
To assist State, tribal, local government (S/T/LG) agencies, and interstate/intertribal entities build capacity to protect, manage and restore wetlands. Funding Priority: Under the Wetlands Program Development Grant Competition, EPA has identified three program emphasis areas for improving S/T/LG's ability to protect and restore their wetlands: (1) Developing a comprehensive wetland monitoring and assessment program; (2) improving the effectiveness of compensatory mitigation; and (3) refining the protection of vulnerable wetlands and aquatic resources.
